There's also a sliding table and an extra wing, which, when added to the main table, give a total work area of 1,127-1/4 inches. The sliding table offers better crosscutting accuracy than miter gauges and allows up to a 28-inch capacity. It's 14 by 27 inches and rides only 4 inches from the blade. Keeping this distance small reduces unnecessary friction caused by sliding the work.
