As a rule, Jet systems run quieter than other dust collectors we’ve used, but we still recommend ear protection, considering you’ll be running it in conjunction with a saw, planer, sander, or other power tool. Unlike other systems, this one offers 4- and 6-inch inch ports. The Jet 708639 DC-1100A dust collector is a the same as the old DC-1100 1-1/2hp model but has a 20-inch ring housing to accommodate the new canister filters for better filtration of dust particles.
