The Hitachi CR13VBY is a 12-amp reciprocating saw which features a patented new technology called UVP (User Vibration Protection). Hitachi’s UVP technology reduces the overall vibration produced by the motor and therefore drastically lessens the vibration transfer to the user of the tool. A counterweight mechanism reduces full-load triaxial vibration by over 65%. A swing cutting mechanism located near the blade lessens the “rebound” effect that is normally created from a traditional orbital action cut. In addition to less vibration, the CR13VBY produces a faster cut in steel and wood as compared to competitive models.
